The Intentional Year

The year you stop living on everyone else's terms.

The Intentional Year is a year-long rhythm of reflection, support and action.

Every December, you see it so clearly. What you want more of, what you’re ready to let go of, how you’d like next year to feel. Then February arrives, life creeps back in, and the plan you made with such care slips down the list behind everyone else’s needs.

  • One of the kids wants to take up an after-school sports club, so there goes the Wednesday yoga class you were going to keep sacred, and only managed to attend once in early January
  • You keep forgetting your good intentions and end up doing a meditation, duolingo and the online food shop at the same time at 10pm while you brush your teeth (may as well stick a lot of wine and chocolate in there – you need it to cope)
  • You say yes to that PTA invite because it was flattering at the time, and you forgot you were going to ditch the automatically saying ‘yes’ this year

Willpower has very little to do with it. Without something holding your intention in place, everyone else’s needs fill the gap.

The Intentional Year is that something.

Doors close on 31st December and won’t open again until the summer reset

Journalling with Quiet the Hive

"For the 1st time in my life I feel like goals are appearing, passions are coming out, which have been hidden for far too long and boundaries starting to appear, like never before."

What changes?

By the end of your Intentional Year, you’ll have twelve months of evidence that choosing yourself is possible, and you’ll have done it so many times it’s started to feel like who you are.

Seasons change, and so do we. You won’t be the same person at the end of 2027 that you were at the end of 2026. But this time, rather than thinking “another year gone and I still haven’t…” the transformation will be intentional.

Working over time allows for bigger changes and deeper transformations. Like the work I’ve done with a client who’s wanted to write a novel for over 20 years, and now has a completed first draft. We worked together to help her set goals and give herself permission to prioritise writing. Not something that comes instantly with a one hour workshop, but through small consistent intentions over time.

Or working with another client who has completely changed how she works in and on her business as a result of slow, incremental steps over time so that now she discounts less, charges more, says no and works with a schedule that suits her.

Or a third client who felt like she never had time to herself, and couldn’t see a way to do it until we talked it through and she had an idea that allowed her to see a plan she could put in place and stick to to make it possible. A shift that came ‘bit at a time’ and stuck rather than setting herself up for a failure with ‘all or nothing’.

What have you been putting to one side because you’ve not had the time to do it, or change it?

A whole year of being intentional. A year of keeping promises to yourself. Where could that lead for you?

"Being part of the circle has really helped keep me on track and accountable. It very much feels like I’m part of a sisterhood of similar minded women who have each others backs and are cheerleading each other. Jane has created something truly unique and magical."

How it works:

There is a monthly rhythm to The Intentional Year, which means you know what to expect, and start to make it a habit.

Your month looks like this:

  • Week one, The Card: an oracle card for the month, shared with its picture, its meaning and a few prompts to carry with you.
  • Week two, The Page: journalling prompts on creating a life you love, linked to the card (and sometimes the season we’re in).
  • Week three, The Call: a live Q&A session with me, where you submit in advance or bring whatever you’re wrestling with
  • Week four, The Doing: a week with nothing new to read or watch, just time to try something, test it and see what changes.

There are 11 live calls across the year (including the ever-popular Retrospective in December and a brand new Summer Reset in June), with August off (use the time to dream big).

Why does the intake start with the Retrospective?

The Retrospective is designed to help you set intentions for the year. We can use this as a jumping off space, which you revisit with The Summer Reset (the only other time doors will open). The Retrospective is ever-popular, and in its sixth year for a reason…

“Thank you for the retrospective. I really enjoyed the prompts and also the warmth you created in the space.  It was just what I needed as my work year comes to an end close and I move to full on wintering! I particularly liked the appreciate lens you invited us into as apposed to the ’shoulds’ of resolutions.”  Carrie

“I enjoyed the Retrospective so much and feel it has given me a better outlook on the forthcoming year. I feel that little by little I am changing the way I work and becoming more purposeful and “choiceful”.  Jenny

Why an 'Intentional' Year?

To my mind, resolutions ask you to deny or punish yourself in some way, feeling smug at first then beginning to feel fed up by late  January and finally kicking them to the kerb (sometimes with equal feelings of guilt, failure and relief) come February. They are often created by what we think we should do rather than what lights us up.

Intentions give you a direction and permission to adjust as you go. Twelve months of small, brave steps will change how you live, which is why this is a year-long commitment rather than a drop-in membership.

Jane Galloway, award-winning coach helping women create a life they love

"It taught me how to create tiny goals each day to feel more in control of my life and to get a sense of achievement from each day."

Who is it for?

This is for you if

  • You’ve spent years sorting everything for everyone, and you’re ready to be on your own list (but need a bit of encouragement and a bit of routine to make it happen)
  • You’d like a little structure, and permission to choose yourself without guilt
  • You’re done letting everyone else design your life
  • You’re ready to open yourself up to the possible and take action (even when it feels a bit brave)
  • You’re feeling a little bit rebellious and ready to try something different

It might not be for you if…

  • You want deeper, more personal support. Awaken Your Life, my 12 week group programme, is built for that.
  • You aren’t ready or prepared to take the action steps yourself, or just want someone to give you all the answers
  • The thought of oracle cards or journaling turns you right off
  • You can’t carve out 30 minutes to yourself a week (if that’s the case, you might need this more than you realise)
  • You don’t want a whole year of exploration, curiosity and action, and want to make changes overnight and have them stick

A note about your commitment

Please note – The Intentional Year is intentionally a year-long programme, not a rolling membership. It’s been created that way so that you can make thoughtful, intentional choices (and act on them) throughout the year. When you join, you’re committing to the full year.

You can choose to pay in full or spread the cost over 12 monthly instalments. The monthly option is a payment plan for the full programme fee, rather than a subscription you can cancel at any time. You’re committing to the full amount, regardless of how you choose to pay.

As such, payments are non-refundable except where you’re entitled to a refund or cancellation under your statutory consumer rights or our Terms & Conditions.

I know you probably wouldn’t expect anything different, but I want to be super transparent so you know exactly where you stand. You can find all the details in the terms and conditions

"Jane is truly inspirational and with some gentle nudges, she's moved me from thinking about what and where I could be, to actually taking the steps to get there. I'm rediscovering me and I love it!"

FAQs

No. It’s the first session of the year, and everything is introduced from scratch. Also, you can choose to just join The Retrospective on its own. You can do that here.

The Retrospective is a 90-minute, live journaling session where you create a year ahead based on joy and energy rather than shoulds and obligations. The Intentional Year takes it further and gives you a monthly rhythm across a whole year to help you think about how you are going to embed the changes you want to make to create a life you love.

The Retrospective is on 14th December 2026, 6-7:30pm

Then as follows at 6-7pm:

  • January 25th (please note, this call takes place on the fourth Monday)
  • February 15th
  • March 15th
  • April 19th
  • May 17th
  • June 21st
  • July 12th (please note, this call takes place in the second Monday to avoid school holidays.)
  • September 20th
  • October 18th
  • November 15th

NB There is no live call in August- that’s for daydreaming…

Replays for The Retrospective are available until 31st January, and The Summer Reset to July 31st. All live Q&A sessions are available to rewatch for a month, after which recordings will be deleted. Chances are, if you’ve not rewatched by then, you probably never will! Links to recordings will be emailed to you within 48 hours of them taking place.

Yes. It’s a year-long commitment because the difference comes from putting in the changes over time.

Awaken Your Life is a 12 week, small group programme with deeper personalised support including 1:1 coaching and a community.

The Intentional Year is a gentler rhythm that runs all year with no 1:1 aspect.

Oh hell yes! I think these would work beautifully together, allowing you a more intensive, personalised, smaller group experience alongside this beautiful, slower experience.

If you want to ask more if Awaken Your Life would be right for you, just ask – hello@quietthehive.com I’m happy to chat it through with you.

Drop me a line (Hello@quietthehive.com) before you buy The Intentional Year and I’ll give you a code that will credit your ticket against your first Intentional Year payment.

Oracle cards are not a religious or occult thing. They are simply a pack of illustrated cards (usually in a deck of 30-50) with images and a word or short sentence. There is usually a deeper description accompanying the deck. They can be used as prompts or things to be curious about.

Personally, I find them uncannily accurate and use them weekly when I’m seeking a new idea, guidance or just a prompt to take into my week or month.

I will send a you an email containing the picture of the card, the description/ meaning, and a few questions to help you think about ow you might want to use the card’s imagery or description. I will always share the deck this came from with you.

You don’t need to go and buy a deck – but I can’t be held responsible for any that might just find their way into your home! They are slightly addictive!

Listen, this is the first year I’ve offered something like this, and I’m genuinely excited to share it with the women who come in at the very beginning. I’ve never offered the chance to work with me for a whole year, and it feels pretty special to get to hang out with you for that amount of time.

We know how had it is to carve out time for ourselves, and I’m hoping this monthly rhythm will become a habit you just don’t want to kick. I’m really looking forward to hearing what changes for you.

This is not just sticking to resolutions, it’s not even close. It’s about creating intentions for a life that feels well-lived. One that feels like it’s finally yours – whatever that means to you. And I’m doing it right alongside you.

I can’t wait to share our Intentional Year stories, and I really hope you’ll be right there with me.

I’d love to spend the year with you.

With love,

Jane x
